Hace un tiempo webeando me encontré con este artesano, un joven Finés que realmente llamo mi atención y quería compartirlo con ustedes lo que hace.
El texto esta en Finés, el cual suprimí, e Ingles, que no estoy bien calificado para realizar una traducción correcta pero se entiende bien.

Searching and collecting the bog iron ore from the bottom of the river.

Materials needed in the melting: iron ore, lime and wood charcoal.

Melting ongoing. Furnace is made mostly from soapstone blocks and clay.

Lump that contains slag and iron. Something gone bit wrong in melting as the iron and slag were mixed in one lump, instead of two lumps where one contains mainly iron and another the slag.

Iron pieces that are forged flatter. These are put together by forge welding.

Folded piece of iron. The iron piece must be folded and forge welded solid again many times. That makes the iron piece more homogeneous and condensed.

Chiseling the iron piece, so that it can be folded again.

Knife blade is starting to take shape.

After three days of work: finished knife blade made from the local iron ore.

Analysis was made for another blade I made at same time, from same iron. Its carbon content is about 0,531%

Pués és muy interesante todo el proceso.Desde la recolección,el crisol,la forja y el final tiene muy buena pinta.

Muy interesante tocayo. Cada vez hay más gente que hace una vuelta a los orígenes de en todo. ¿Por qué...? Tal vez consista en una búsqueda de lo auténtico, de lo genuino. No lo sé, pero intuyo que la cosa va por ahí.

Buen trabajo el que nos muestras,conseguir hacer un cuchillo elaborando tu mismo el acero, es muy difícil pero muy gratificante.

Menudo lote de trabajar se pega el Fines para sacar un trozo de Wooz,hay gente con mucho tesón,cosa que es de alabar.
